Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Background Left bundle branch (LBB) area pacing (LBBAP) has been widely adopted for an increasing number antibradycardia and CRT procedures worldwide. Two different types capture have described during LBBAP: left ventricular septal myocardial (LVSP) or direct LBB (LBBP). Nevertheless, electrocardiographic diagnosis LBBAP remains one the challenges modern conduction system because there is a big overlap between both morphologies. Among new ECG-based criteria, R wave peak time in lead V6 (V6-RWPT) V6-V1 interpeak interval seem to be most practical ones adopted. However, their performance never validated external population. Purpose We aim validate reported criteria V6-RWTP our Methods Single-center study involving all consecutive patients who received LBBAP. LBBP was defined according presence QRS morphology transition decremental pacing. The binary decision rules using sensitivity (SN) specificity (SP). V6-RWPT discriminating LVSP assessed receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Results A total 188 with intended were screened. Successful achieved 174 (92.5%). Only 71 confirmed by included analyse interval. 75.7±9.6 ms tracings 94.4±10.1 LVS (p<0.001), 41.9±12.1 25.6±8.7 (p<0.001). average difference from 16.5±5.2 ms. Cardiac pacing in left bundle branch/bifascicular block patients.
The primary concern in patients with bifascicular block is the increased risk of progression to complete heart block. Further, an additional first-degree A-V block in patients with bifascicular block or LBBB might increase the risk of block progression. Anesthesia, monitoring and surgical techniques can induce conduction defects and bradyarrhythmias in patients with pre-existing bundle branch b...
متن کاملHypertension control: how well are we doing?
BACKGROUND We compared blood pressure (BP) control in a recent cohort of hypertensive military veterans with BP control in a previous cohort and examined whether hypertension treatment practices, as defined by the frequency of antihypertensive medication dosage increases, have changed over time. METHODS We abstracted 1999 outpatient chart data including visit type, BP measurements, comorbidit...

Health-information exchange, that is, enabling the interoperability of automated health data, can facilitate important improvements in healthcare quality and efficiency. A vision of interoperability and its benefits was articulated more than a decade ago. Since then, important advances toward the goal have been made. The advent of the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Heal...
متن کاملLeft Bundle Branch Block
Coronary angiography, cine left ventriculography, and the cardiovascular hemodynamics of 24 patients with left bundle branch block were studied. Seven patients were found to have significant coronary artery disease, always severe. Five had cardiomyopathy and seven had valvular disease. Only those with coronary artery disease or cardiomyopathy had abnormal left ventricular contraction patterns. ...
متن کاملLeft bundle branch block.
A RECENT STUDY of the prognosis of patients with left bundle branch block (L.B.B.B.) suggested that life expectancy was extremely short (Smith and Hayes 1965). While in general L.B.B.B. has a sinister reputation, we have been struck by a few individuals who have survived many years with L.B.B.B., and we thought an analysis of some of the material available at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfas...
